After 2 years we are finally together again. These past two years have been one event after another.
Let's see if I can recap.
1. Karli thinks that we will be lonely so in comes Scout.
2. Kira marries Paul (We love you Paul, you bring out the best in Kira.)
3. Kohl leaves on his mission.
4. Desmond is born.
5. Karli gets divorced.
6. Kevin is ordained a Deacon.
7. Grand Pa Garrison gets divorced.
8. Scout turns 1 and for her birthday we get Ranger. (How did that work out?)

9. Kira graduates from UVU (Sorry Kira that I missed this)
10 Kyler graduates from MVHS.
11. Kyler graduates for UVU with his associates.
12. Kyler is ordained an Elder
13. Konnie and Ken get married. (We all love you too Ken, you make Konnie a much better person.)
14. Karli and Jeremy get married. (We love you too Jeremy, because you fill Karli with happiness.)
15. Kohl comes home from his mission after 2 years and 2 weeks.
There were many other things that happened as well but as I look back these are the things that bring me the most joy.

Time to add a new post

I am not known for my great blogs but I figure that it is time to give a new post.
Here is Scout our great watch dog. The watch part of that is that she will give you kisses and lick you. Ky has worked on getting her to do tricks. He has taught her to play dead if you tell her "bang". The only problem is she will only play dead on the carpet. She is a little picky about where she dies. I am just waiting for the day when he tells her bang, she walks over to the carpet and then lays down to play dead.

I never say much about Ranger but, this picture explains it all.

Exercise

I have found a new exercise system. It is called the Wii. We got a new Wii for Christmas and it is amazing how much exercise you get with it. (at least with the sports games) I haven’t figured out the other games yet. I watch Kevin and Kyler do the other games and I cannot figure them out. The screens all look the same to me and they are shooting at things that I do not even see. I think it must be a generational thing. I will stick to the sports events and see if I can burn a few calories.

Well Scout finally did it, she graduated!! Yes that is right she has finally graduated from beginning dog class. She now knows how to eat treats and sit to get them. She can also go down to the floor on when she wants more treats. The best thing however is she knows that when she hears her clicker that she gets a treat. Works when she will not come in from outside. The most amazing thing of graduation was that she kept the cap on without me holding it.

Christmas at the Ludwig's

Well, Christmas at the Ludwig's means that you must eat. Did I say eat? No, you must eat until you bust or die whichever comes first.

The day starts with the opening of presents, and then we eat Christmas Bread. Christmas bread is a homemade white bread with chunks of candy fruit mixed in. Next is the eggs, bacon and juice. You can have hot chocolate if you are so inclined as well. This process takes several hours and there really isn't a lunch.

Now as the day progrsses the evening meal is made. As Kyler would say, "Beef, it's what for dinner." We had a 1/2 a cow or at least it looked like it. What you don't see as well is the potatoes that were the size of Idaho, OK Rhode Island. To finish the meal there Jell-o, sweet potatoes, and rolls. The last items on the table was the Swedish Torte (double size) and all the chips, dip, and nuts that you could down. Most of those were held in reserve until Christmas night as we were playing games. I don't even want to step on the scale. Needless to say the eating continues for days until all of the food is consumed.

I do have to say that the best part of the day was when we got to call Kohl on the phone. He sounds good, and we were happy that everyone got a chance to talk to him. Kira walked in just at the right time since we were just ready to hang up, so she even got a chance to talk.

Christmas is a great holiday.

This is the Family!! I am now the short one in the middle back row. It seems a little strange looking up to my 2 oldest sons but now I have to since they both are at least 2 inches taller than I am.
